Heffron Centre Stadium Holiday Closure Notice

Please be informed that the Heffron Centre Stadium will be closed during the holiday season to refurbish the floors which have become damaged and uneven due to flooding resulting in a safety hazard for visitors and guests.

The stadium will be closed from Monday 16 December 2024 – Sunday 2 February 2025 and will be re-opening on Monday 3 February 2025.

BK's Gymnastics and the Café will also be closed between Monday 23 December 2024 – Sunday 5 January 2025.

Stadium Closure FAQ's

How long is the stadium closed for? The stadium is closed from Monday 16 December 2024 – Sunday 2 February 2025 and will be re-opening on Monday 3 February 2025.

Why is the stadium closed? The stadium is closed due to the damaged and uneven floors which was caused by the heavy rainfall and flooding. 

What happens to the competitions? All competitions will take a 6-week break and will resume in the first week back on Monday 3 February 2025. The start dates will be communicated directly with teams and individuals for all competitions and internal programs closer to re-opening.

What happens to the holiday camps?  Holiday camps will not be running during this holiday season. However, the South Sydney Rabbitohs have a program that you can enrol into – Click here

Will BK’s Gymnastics still be open? No, BK's Gymnastics will be closed from Monday 23 December 2024 - Sunday 5 January 2025. However, the BK’s Gymnastics Holiday Program will commence on Monday 6 January 2025 – Thursday 6 February 2025. Full schedule on Active World app. Click here.

Will the Heffron Centre Café be open? No, The Heffron Centre Café will be closed from Monday 23 December 2024 – Sunday 5 January 2025.

What will happen to pickleball sessions? Pickleball sessions will be offered at Heffron Park Tennis Centre via Sydney Sports Management. We will communicate directly with the Pickleball players once an offer has been organised with Sydney Sports Management.
